AdCare Health Systems has relocated their corporate offices from Springfield, Ohio to Atlanta. This relocation comes on the heels of concluding a three year expansion program that involved the acquisition of skilled nursing facilities throughout the state of Georgia. What were their reasons for designating Atlanta as their new headquarters? They hope to tap into the areas talent pool.

A New Title
Last month Zipcar published its Future Metropolis Index and the city of Atlanta received a number one spot. For what? INNNOVATION! Atlanta is also the only southeastern city that made the top ten of this index. This market research study evaluated 36 of the more populated U.S. cities on five factors. In addition to innovation, sustainability, vibrancy, efficiency, and livability were all assessed. Where does the city rank in comparison to other cities on the remaining factors? Take a look . . .

Survey Yields Area Insight
The Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District consulted Atlanta based Schapiro Group Inc. to conduct a telephone survey in hopes to gain insight on resident perceptions of downtown Atlanta. The participants included 400 residents residing in DeKalb, Clayton, Gwinnett, Fulton, & Cobb counties. The Good News? It was found that the overall perceptions of downtown are improving as more people regularly visit the area.
